The accommodation has been recently converted using natural materials where possible including Oak timber flooring, sheep's wool insulation and water based paints, making the rooms allergy free. All heating, including the under floor and hot water is provided by an environmental award winning wood pellet burning system.
Ashridge Farm is a 200 acre working Organic farm with Sheep, Cattle, Chicken and Crops. Surrounded by beautiful peaceful countryside with rolling fields, ancient woods and quiet country lanes where the only sound are the sounds of nature, a tractor working in the fields and the occasional car.
There is a large lawn for children to play safely. Farm animals to feed and eggs to pick up for breakfast.
The North & South Devon coast are within easy reach as is Dartmoor, where the film "War Horse" was filmed and Exmoor, the home of "Lorna Doone".
Most of the South West major attractions are within half an hour to one hour in the car, such as Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden project. There are other family attraction include Big Sheep and Crealy Park. National Trust properties near are Killerton House and Knightshayes, which makes Ashridge Farm and ideal venue for a family holiday what ever the weather.
