Walks on Ashridge and local area

Ashridge and the surrounding villages and countryside offers fantastic walking opportunities. There are waymarked trails around the farm of up to 2 km. There are many public footpaths which are well singposted and maintained and local villages have guides to local walks

Dartmoor

Dartmoor offers both hill walking on the open moor and beautiful walks through sheltered woods and villages like Lustleigh.

The Two Moors Way (100 miles)

This one of the most famous of walks takes you from the South of Dartmoor to Lynmouth on the north coast of Somerset. It is said to be the route that sailors took when they missed their ship at Dartmouth and picked it up again at Lynmouth. Short sections can be done in a day using Ashridge as a base.

The Devon and Cornwall Coastal Path

This path runs from north Somerset all around the coast around Land End and back east to Dorset. A long section from Minehead to Padstow in Cornwall is only an hours drive from Ashridge. This includes some of the most beautiful sections of the path along the
North Devon coast were the trees reach down to the sea and the rugged 300 feet cliffs of Hartland
